Treviso, in search of Carnival

Treviso, Italy, January 31st, 2016.
I have been to Italy so many times, yet never to Treviso.

We raced with the sun all day, and lost. Arriving at night always adds to the mystery of discovering a new place.

This time, it was obvious we had missed the Sunday celebrations of Carnival. The streets and squares were still covered in confetti, the last traces of the parade.
By night, the shadows and mist shrouded the beauty of this town, and the few people still out seemed like ghosts, moving fast and silently.
Another Sunday night, on the brink of a new journey.
