Ōsaka street and stage

November 1st, 2016, Osaka.

As I first entered the room, a translucent paper panel delicately filtered the window light. The atmosphere was so peaceful, I almost left it closed. Had I not open the shōji, I would have missed the iconic Umeda Sky Building turning from grey to gold and pink. The Hilton hotel room window was the perfect spot to watch the sun go down over the city, with a cup of tea in hand.

From there, it was only a short walk to the Umeda neighborhood, filled with restaurants and bars. The beautiful lanterns were everywhere, and it was hard to resist making a full lantern essay!

The next day Ōsaka Symphony Hall was our host for the concert, filled with music lovers. By then the Lotte Chocolate Almonds were the common snack backstage, and the boxes are always smaller than you think!
